Drinking too much coffee has a lot of effects on human health. Too much caffeine can lead to addiction. Caffeine triggers certain brain chemicals which is similar to the body's reactions to drugs like cocaine and amphetamines.

However, caffeine does not cause classic addiction, too much intake may lead to psychological or physical dependency.

High caffeine intake has also been seen to raise the blood pressure during exercise in individual’s who are healthy an as well as those with mildly elevated blood pressure. The effect of caffeine on blood pressure seems to be temporary. It is important to pay attention to the amount and time at which you take in caffeine.        

Prolonged use of caffeine in the body can cause the muscles to cramp or move erratically, leading to spasm. Too much caffeine also leads to anxiety which increases heartbeat,  adrenaline hormones, heightened senses and hallucinations.
