State House, in official Tweet on Friday, identified the lady as Rachael Nduta Kamui, the new Assistant aide-de-camp, a new position in the current set up.

"President Kenyatta at the Kenya Music Festival Winners' State Concert.

"On duty is the new Assistant ADC, Lieutenant Colonel Rachel Nduta Kamui, from the Kenya Air Force who will be working alongside Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Stelu," read the tweet.

Mr. Stelu, the current ADC took over from Lt. Colonel Victor Mburu, who went for further studies after holding the assignment for one year.

Notably, Mr. Stelu became the first ADC from Kenya Navy since most of those who have served in the position hail from Kenya Army.

And Ms. Kamui, becomes the first Kenyan woman to execute such duties in the male dominated military.

President Uhuru's faith in women leadership is exeptional given he recently promoted Kanze Dena to be the first female State House spokesperson.

Also, Maj. General Fatuma Ahmed, became the first woman to hold the rank in the history of Kenya after promotion by the President.
