Kitui Minister for Land, Infrastructure and Urban Development (LIUD), Eng. Kakundi has hit the ground running after he started implementing key projects in the county.

According to a local daily, Kakundi, who was recently sworn in following his nomination by Governor Charity Ngilu, inspected a road renovation of Mumoni-Wikililye road

Earlier on, Ngilu had asked the minister to ensure that the project is completed in time for better service delivery to the residents.

“Wikililye road is in a bad shape and LIUD minister should sleep over it,” said Ngilu, as quoted by Kituionline.com

The vocal politician had asked all the county employees to serve the people diligently and without fear or favor. She also assured them of her support as they take over different officers in her administration.

“There’s no time to waste. I need every officer to get down to work and deliver to the people of Kitui because we are duty bound,” she said,

The Narc Kenya leader has promised to transform the economy of the region during the next five years of her governance.
