In an interview with the writer, the third-year student, pursuing CPA and Bachelors Commerce in Finance option exuded confidence that he is equal to the task and ready to step from the rather comfy varsity position and wade into the murky politics of Kenya.

Wambua, who also is the President of the Private Universities Students Association of Kenya (PUSAK), brags that he is destined for glory and notes that he has never lost any contest in his life.

"My passion for for leadership is inborn. I've been a leader since I was born. And I have been best in all capacity I have served. This has motivated me to try my luck in politics with my first shot at Kibwezi West constituency seat," Wambua said.

The university student is not perturbed by the current MP nicknamed 'moneybags,' Dr. Patrick Mweu Musimba, rather he is encouraged by the fact that the once independent candidate who trounced then MP Kalembe Ndile twice will be going for a gubernatorial seat, thus laying ground for him to vie under the Wiper ticket, though he has still other formidable candidates like James Mbaluka to battle with.

"I'm a Wiper member and I will vie under the Wiper umbrella. I hope the party can't disappoint. I'm sure they will support me," he said.

Wambua is also motivated by the country's youngest representatives that prevailed in 2017 election such as Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi, youngest MCA Mr Evanson Lomaduny and the beleaguered Babu Owino; though he quickly denounces Babu's leadership style.

"Babu is my friend but, I don't emulate nor support some of his barbaric acts. He should know he is a leader not a goon," Wambua added.

His vision is to change the life of the locals.

When asked of campaign finances he said that money can't be a measure of leadership rather, it helps in campaigns.

He noted that friends and people of Kibwezi West will be his key resources in terms of funding and mobilization.

"Leadership is about impacting the lives of others and not seeking wealthy status. They have requested me to extend my university leadership to to the constituency level and since the voice of people is the voice of God, whom am I to deny?I will be their leader by ballot!" He declared.

Even as he looks to hit the ground running, Wambua urges leaders to work together and uplift the life of the electorates and shun devisive politics.

"Let's embrace the spirit of unity and bring our people together to embrace peace on our nation," he concluded
