Through the KCB foundation students can now apply for the 2018 scholarship programme which offers a four year scholarship to any secondary education in public schools.

40 out of the 240 have been set aside for students with special needs (physical disabilities) with the hope of further boosting the foundations investment in social programmes.

“The objective of the scholarship programme is to improve access and quality of education for bright, needy and physically challenged students through the provision of scholarships and mentorship,” said KCB Foundation Executive Director Jane Mwangi.

Students interested are encouraged to apply now before the application period closes on December 14, 2017. Students will also have to undergo interviews which will take place on December 15-16, 2017.

“Through this scholarship we seek to contribute to efforts to increase transition rates between primary and secondary school. This has been marked by a completion rate of 98% – 99% from year to year. Additionally, we provide psychosocial support as part of the scholarship in a bid to grow employability of beneficiaries of our scholarship programme,” said Mwangi.
