IEBC commissioner Roslyn Akombe discussed the idea of resigning during an interview on Citizen TV Tuesday.

According to Roslyn she has no issue stepping down if she is found guilty of any electoral malpractices during the August 8 election.

“If there is anything that comes and touches on my integrity and ability to perform, I will step down. If the relevant authorities find me guilty of anything that happened during the election process i will not hesitate to resign,” Akombe said.

As for her fellow IEBC officials she chose not to comment saying she did not know their position on the matter.

This comes in light of recent protests by the opposition party asking for the removal of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba.

Chiloba has maintained that he will not step down depsite demonstrations by the National Super Alliance party.

Yesterday a video emerged of Chiloba at a window overseeing NASA supporters protesting in front of the IEBC headquarters.
