The Salgaa blackspot has once again claimed another life in the Friday morning accident that saw 10 others injured.
This occurred following a collision between a passenger bus heading to Nairobi from the neighboring Uganda and a trailer, with the bus driver dying on the spot.
The accident happened near Nakuru Teachers Training College along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
While confirming the incident, Rongai OCPD Joseph Kioko said that the bus driver was trying to overtake the truck before the bus ended up landing into a roadside ditch.
''The driver of the Scania bus tried to overtake the trailer but collided with it and them landed into a ditch,'' he is quoted by the Star.
The driver's body was taken to the Nakuru county mortuary and the wreckage towed to the Salgaa police post with the OCPD saying that further investigations will be conducted on the causes of the accident.
