A report by Auditor General Edward Ouko has cast a rather an uncomfortable glare on a number of counties over skewed employment practices and embezzlement of funds.

The banana-rich county of Kisii is among those counties with the dubious distinction of making it to the list of shame.

According to the report covering the fiscal year 2015/2016, over 90% of appointments in Kisii County went to a particular tribe.

In fact, Kisii was on the spot for employing over 97 % of staff from a certain community.

Kisii was also put on the spot for the unsubstantiated loss of funds, up to Sh270 million, during transfer to the county assembly.

Ouko's report has many residents of Kisii County concerned and now want Governor Ongwae to swing into action and address the issues raised by the report.
