Lieutenant Cornel Boniface Chomba, the officer in charge of KDF recruitment in the sub-county said youths who long to join the forces should keep trying their luck whenever there is recruitment.

“I have told the unsuccessful youths to keep on trying, everybody has got his CV,” said Chomba.

He addressed Hivisasa shortly after the exercise was concluded at Kenya Meat Commission Grounds in Athi River on Friday.

Chomba said the unsuccessful youths should understand that KDF cannot recruit all of them at once during the annual exercise due to limited chances.

“They should not lose hope, the slots have been distributed to all the 47 counties across the country,” added Chomba.

He said the exercise that took off at exactly 8.00 am and ended by 12.00 pm was successful, “we have managed to get the numbers that we expected.”

Chomba, however, declined to reveal the number of recruited candidates asserting it was confidential.

He said the turnout was average.

Chomba said youths from all the four divisions in Athi River Sub County;  Mavoko, Mlolongo, Lukenya, and Daystar turned up for the exercise.

He said they explained to the youths who failed in the selection why they were dropped.

“We have explained to the unsuccessful hopefuls why they were dropped, each one of them has left this grounds knowing reasons why he/she was not recruited to KDF,” Chomba said.
