Majority Leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale has said Jubilee party will carry out its East African Legislative Assembly [EALA] nominations in a different manner compared to other parties.

Duale promised to have a transparent process that will be free from nepotism and sensitive to regions and gender.

“JP will be transparent in the process. While other parties will be nominating relatives and friends, our party will be giving a chance to deserving regions, gender, and our affiliate parties,” Duale said.

At least 70 candidates returned their applications yesterday by close of business. This was followed by forwarding of the applicants’ list to political parties. Interviews will likely start after parliament resumes sittings next week.

NASA had listed Abubakar Zein, Kennedy Kalonzo, Oburu Odinga and Ronald Ngeny while Jubilee list consisted of Abubakar Ogle, Adan Noor, Chepkemoi Stacey, Eunice Karanja, Florence Sergon, Irene Masit, Joe Muriuki, former National Assembly clerk Justin Bundi, Justus Mate, Mutea Iringo, Nelson Dzuya, Pius Ewoton and Simon Mbugua.
