Philip Etale with Raila Odinga during a press briefing [Photo/Philip Etale twitter]ODM director of communications, Philip Etale has once again castigated the way in which police is dealing with unarmed civilians. He wondered why police officers have not been brought to book, despite their unlawful exertions on people especially the opposition supporters.On his official Twitter account, Etale lashed at the police department for failing to conduct their constitutional mandate and being partisan in their operations. He consoled the families of the casualties, encouraged the injured and wished them quick recovery. "Saying pole to families of the dead and holding prayers with the injured after the police brutality is not a crime, it is an African. The bereaved must be consoled and given hope. The injured must be given hope and told UGUA POLE. Today NASA legislators will be doing that in Kibera." Read the statement. Last week on the welcoming ceremony of the opposition chief Raila Odinga, anti riot police clashed with NASA supporters who had sacrificed their time and energy to receive 'president' from JKIA to to the Nairobi CBD. Several people were injured in the melee, while others lost their lives.
