As the High court was quashing the August 8 victory of Homa Bay Governor Mr Cyprian Awiti, KTN's top journalist Betty Kyalo was struggling with the names while breaking the story.

Kyalo has faced the wrath of Kenyans on Twitter after she repeatedly failed to capture the governor's name by referring to him as Cyprian Nyakundi instead of Cyprian Awiti.

Nyakundi is a controversial blogger known by many from his "Boychild" campaigns on the social platforms.

Here are some of the responses from Kenyans.

Cyprian Nyakundi is more popular than the outgoing Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti. KTN’s Betty Kyallo Confirms!— Atanasi (@AthanasKK) February 20, 2018.

Cyprian Awiti was Homabay County Governor while Cyprian Nyakundi is the sitting Kenyan boy child President, that's why people are confusing him with Awiti. Nyakundi represent boy child including Awiti, probably he is popular in Kenya than the governor.— Paulo Mtangazaji (@PauloMtangazaji) February 20, 2018.

Homabay Governor Cyprian Awiti loses his Seat but @BettyMKyallo Says it is @C_NyaKundiH not Cyprian Awiti. Obsession manenoz!— Sen. Perminus Aruya (@SenatorPerminus) February 20, 2018.

What did you do to Betty Kyalo. @C_NyaKundiH she is so obsessed with you. Some few minutes ago she kept on repeating your name Cyprian Nyakundi like 4 times on KTN breaking news instead of Cyprian Awiti the Homabay governor whose been thrown out.— Gilbert Odoyo (@OdoyoGilbert_) February 20, 2018.

High Court nullifies election of Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti. @BettyMKyallo just said the election of governor “Cyprian Nyakundi” has been nullified😂😂. @C_NyaKundiHI think she has much respect for El presidents @C_NyaKundiH— Wayne Banda (@STRAIGHT4MKENYA) February 20, 2018.
