[Photo|Busia County Government]Busia Ebenezer Academy in Matayos Sub-county has produced two top students in this year's KCPE.Results were released by Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i on Tuesday.Priest Anthony Ndungu and Stanley Barasa scored 434 marks each. Magnate Academy in Nambale which produced the top students in 2016 KCPE in Alpha Lumula with 421marks produced the top girl this year.Sharlene Akwala scored 424 marks. The second student at the school, Jannex Makio got 420 marks while Latifa Andale scored 419 marks.The top student at Victory Junior Academy in Teso South was Celina Joan Auma with 423 marks with Polycarp Onyango coming second on 42 marks.Lukonyi top student in Matayos sub-county Edson Wanyama scored 421 marks. Top student at Nangina Girls Primary School Stephanie Opondo scored 413 marks.At St James ACK Malaba primary school in Teso North, Eugene Josek Mose scored 411 marks.His mother Nelly Omusina, Busia County employee broke the news during the KICOSCA games in Thika, prompting her tug of war colleague to carry her shoulder high in the absence of her son.Omusina, a widow said it was great news for her. "Eugene is a polite boy who was God fearing, thus earning him the nick name Bishop."A rural school in Teso North Kolait Boys had Melchedezek Ejakait score 411 marks and Eugene Inayo 403 marks. Elvis Barasa of Isegere Toto scored 411. The top girl Sheila Achieng scored 426 marks.
