There was shock in Naivasha on Thursday after herders found a rotting human head at Kedong village.
A resident, Peter Njoroge said the head was buried along the road.
“There was no sign of other human bones or clothes. Only the head that was half buried along the Kedong- Naivasha road,” Njoroge said.
According to the residents, the head appeared to have been buried three or four days ago.
The incident came a week after a body of another middle-aged man was found in the same village, which is famous for sand harvesting.
“We informed area police officers immediately who came and took the head,” Lucy Wambui said.
A Naivasha police officer who sought anonymity, confirmed the incident saying they took the head to Naivasha sub-County hospital mortuary.
He said investigations have commenced.
