The IEBC has made another decision that will complicate the October 26 polls. The provisional results that gave IEBC and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s lawyers a tough task explaining what they were will not be part of the 26th presidential elections.

Renowned lawyers Paul Muite and other learned friends infamously termed them statistics and argued that they were not results but failed to vividly explain what they were to the electoral body.

IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba who is at the center of the election controversy according to NASA luminaries explained through an internal memo that returning officers at polling stations will not have the authority to display text message results streaming in to the national tallying center.

They will only send results in form of scanned copies to constituency and national tallying centers.

The memo also directed that the physical forms will have to be delivered to constituency returning officers (CROs).

He also stated that Ekuru Aukot and other presidential candidates other than Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta will not be configured into the KIEMS system due to time limitation.
