The IEBC has suffered a series of setbacks, the latest being a survey done by IPSOS that has shown public confidence crisis has only gotten worse.
According to the survey, the IEBC shed 40% of the 61% public confidence it enjoyed before the August 8 polls.
The nosedive in public confidence was occasioned by the Supreme Court's unprecedented annulment of the presidential elections.
The survey involved 2006 respondents.
37% and 67% of the respondents were from urban and rural areas respectively.
