[Photo|Busia County Government]Narok County was on Wednesday crowned the new Kenya Inter-Counties Cultural and Sports Association Cultural Own Dance after dethroning Busia County who won it in Thika last year.Narok emerged winners with 92 per cent, one per cent ahead of hosts Machakos with Bungoma taking third position on 90 per cent while Busia was joint seven with Kisii in 87 per cent.In Kicosca borrowed dance, Bungoma emerged winners with their Kiganda dance. Uasin Gishu with their Luhya Isikuti dance was crowned winner.Kiambu and Mombasa took third and fourth positions respectively while Busia with their Luo dance tied on fifth position with Kilifi.Bungoma was also crowned champions in the CASA borrowed dance category.Machakos took second position with Trans Nzoia and Kirinyaga taking third and fourth positions respectively.The winners in each of the four categories will represent Kenya in this year's edition of the East African Local Authorities Cultural Association (EALASCA) games to be held in Kampala between December 6-10.Former Machakos Mayor Fidelis Munyao who presided over the ceremony appealed to 47 governors to each contribute a trophy worth Sh10,000 to be awarded to top five finishers starting next year so as to motivate them.He said governors whose counties are given the opportunity to host the event should organize for gala dinners for the participants as a way of motivating the participants.
