Kisumu County Assembly was forced to adjourn on Wednesday moments after resuming from the long recess.

The Assembly members had resumed session after staying out for close to three weeks.

The MCAs received the 10 nominees from the executive for those who have been appointed in various executive committee positions.

The Speaker Onyango Oloo committed the names of the nominees to the Appointment Committee for vetting purposes.

Oloo later announced that they will be adjourning up to next week on Tuesday.

This he said is occasioned by an invite to two committees of the House who for three days will be trained on finances matters.

“The Committees of budget and finance have been invited for a three days workshop,” he told the House.

He said that with the absence of the two committees in the house there will be lack of quorum to dispense the House Business.

The MCAs debated the matter and agreed to adjourn until those who will be attending the workshop dispense with the training before they can resume again.
