Politician Koigi wa Wamwere has eulogized Waweru Mburu as 'a hero in the media sector who was also a public teacher'.

The former Subukia MP has said Waweru who was popularly known countrywide for his ‘Yaliyotendeka’ program on Citizen Radio, will remain a hero who always told the truth, 'regardless of where the truth paths would lead him'.

“Waweru had a personal urge and courage to tell the truth. He did not fear to tell the truth, whether it affected the government or the opposition. He was a fighter of the poor and less fortunate in the country” Koigi said. 

He eulogized Mburu as a courageous man.

“I believe he earned himself a ticket to heaven for his good actions here on earth,” Koigi added.

Koigi who is now running for Nakuru county senatorial seat, challenged the government to conduct a national burial for the hero who died of gastric cancer on Wednesday 28, September 2016.

“The government should also make sure that the country has enough machinery to fight cancer” he said
