Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has called for the arrest of Embakasi East MP Babu Owino over hate speech.

In a post on Facebook, he called upon Director of Prosecutions, Ndegwa Muhoro, Inspector General, Joseph Boinet, Chairman EACC, Francis Ole Kaparo and Director of Public Prosecutions, Keriako Tobiko to arrest Owino.

This follows comments by Babu Owino where he referred to President Uhuru Kenyatta as 'mtoto wa mbwa' (son of a dog) during a recent NASA rally.

"I still hold you in high regard. The cell number 4 at Pangani which has hosted me frequently is waiting for Babu Owino. I trust this will be done today to save me unnecessary time, effort and resources tomorrow," his post read.

Babu Owino's comments have sparked a lot of controversy and negative reactions from several Kenyans on social media.

Not too long ago Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama were arrested over hate speech.
