List of 40 counties that may secede from Kenya

NASA coalition's Homa Bay Town lawmaker Peter Kaluma has drafted a Bill that seeks to have a total of 40 counties secede from Kenya.

The Bill seeks to amend Kenya's 2010 Constitution to split the country into two to allow for the creation of a new country.

Citing marginalization and exclusion, Kaluma's Bill also seeks to exclude 40 counties from the current total 47. The excluded counties will then come together and form a state named the "People’s Republic of Kenya”.

The counties include:

3. Kilifi

4. Tana River

5. Lamu

6. Taita Taveta

7. Garissa

8. Wajir

9. Mandera

10. Marsabit

11. Isiolo

12. Meru

13. Machakos

14. Makueni

15. Turkana

16. West Pokot

17. Samburu

18. Trans Nzoia

19. Uasin Gishu

20. Elgeyo Marakwet

21. Nandi

22. Baringo

23. Laikipia

24. Nakuru

25. Narok

26. Kajiado

27. Kericho

28. Bomet

29. Kakamega

30. Vihiga

31. Bungoma

32. Busia
