A middle-aged woman is admitted at the Nakuru PGH hospital after she was attacked by her estranged lover.
Jane Wanjiku, 30, said her ex-lover waylaid her at a bush armed with a machete and slashed her several times.
Wanjiku said she was walking with her employer when the suspect, whom they had been married for six months before parting ways, ambushed them from the bush and reigned terror on them.
Her right arm was chopped off as well as deep cuts in the head leaving her for the dead.
“My ex- boyfriend passed us and went to hide in a bush and surprisingly while approaching my employer’s home, he came from behind and brutally attacked us,” she said.
The man descended on Wanjiku's employer who sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital.
Speaking from her hospital bed at the Nakuru PGH, Wanjiku called for the arrest of the suspect who is well known.
The incident took place in Mai Mahiu.
