Speaking during a meeting at ACK Social Hall in Naivasha on Friday, the group from the transport sector said the terminus is in very poor state.

They blamed the county’s leadership led by Governor Kinuthia Mbugua of neglecting the area, saying “he (Mbugua) does not care whether we pay taxes or not”.

Naivasha Matatu Owners Chairman Steven Mungai said petty politics have ruined development in the entire Naivasha sub-county.

Area NNUS SACCO Deputy chairman James Kiiru said: “We have had enough and time for change has come. We have unanimously agreed not to pay taxes again, until our demands are met.”

They however endorsed Kiiru to vie for the Naivasha parliamentary seat in the coming elections.

Others who spoke included NNUS SACCO chairman Peter Gakunga and Nakuru branch Jubilee representative James Karimi.
