A section of leaders from Nyamira have welcomed the decision by President Uhuru Kenyatta to meet his mentor and retired President Daniel Moi.

For the second time in as many months, Uhuru toured the retired president who is much credited for nurturing the Head of State.

Although details of their meeting remain scanty, it however comes at a time the country is facing a serious political turmoil.

“It is proper to seek advice from someone who led the country for decades. He needs wisdom and I totally agree with his decision,” said Ex- North Mugirango MP Winfred Ombui.

And former Kitutu Masaba MP Walter Nyambati, in a local Radio he said: “We must find a solution and such an experienced elder will not miss wisdom.”

Similar move was ushered in by Shadrack Mose, the Kitutu Masaba MP who termed the move as ‘brilliant and proper’ during a fundraiser in his constituency.

At least 10 people have died in various incidents within the capital Nairobi, since the Friday’s return of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
