Addressing residents at Mwala Town on Monday, the Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) MP lauded IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and commissioners for conducting credible poll amid political pressure and tight timelines.

He said that President Kenyatta’s win in the repeat poll reflects the wish of the people adding that its time the country moved on.

“The IEBC performance in overseeing fair and credible repeat poll is laudable and commendable,” he told locals on Monday.

The MP hit out at opposition leaders who are questioning the voter turnout saying they should keep quite since their leader Raila Odinga withdrew from the poll.

Musyoka said that Uhuru win in the repeat poll meets the constitutional threshold and that his second term is unstoppable.

The Mwala MP lauded Kenyans for turning to vote in the repeat poll despite poll boycott calls by the opposition.

On Monday the IEBC declared Uhuru Kenyatta as the president elect after he garnered over 7 million votes in the October repeat poll.

A section of civil society groups have already questioned the numbers used to declare Uhuru the winner of the repeat poll.

The civil society groups claim that the 26 repeat poll was shambolic and wants the IEBC to be reconstituted and fresh presidential election conducted.

Opposition leaders on the hand have vowed not to recognize Uhuru’s leadership saying that they will push for fresh election in 90 days.
