Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has vowed to deliver on his pre-election promises. 

Speaking in an interview on NTV Wednesday, Lee who termed the county as rich in resources said his government is putting measures into place to ensure residents rip big from its wealth.

Kinyanjui, who however  termed the county as a challenging opportunity due to its overflowing income generators, maintained that his administration is sure of double achievement.

''Nakuru, unlike many other counties offers many economic forums from energy, agriculture to tourism and is also a manufacturing hub.This makes it a challenging opportunity but we will use our knowledge and experience to ensure that our people benefit from their resources,'' he said.

The governor further hailed devolution saying that it has boosted grass root development, relieving the central government of the bigger portion of the burden.

''Devolution is the best thing to happen to this country. It has enabled county governments to take the most necessary steps in development, prioritize on their agendas and properly use resources for the benefit of citizens,'' said the county boss.
