Opposition Leader Raila Odinga will be sworn in as President in August whether or not he wins elections, a section of ODM youths have vowed.

Even though the opposition team NASA is yet to identify its flag bearer, top Orange party leaders have maintained that the veteran politician will be on ballot.

And the youths led by fiery University of Nairobi leader Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino accused the government of plotting to rig Odinga but insisted that they will ensure he is President.

“Jubilee should know that they have lost ground and Odinga will beat them. Whether he is declared or not, we shall swear him at Uhuru Park,” said Owino, who is also going for Embakasi East parliamentary seat.

The famous student leader added: “They will use police but we shall use people’s power. We shall sail through in whichever circumstances.”

Former investigative journalist Mohammed Ali said ODM youths will take over all towns in the country to ensure justice prevail.

“We can’t be going for polls yet people have preconceived determination. Raila must be president,” he said.

The Tuesday’s Orange House meeting brought together thousands of ODM youthful aspirants from across the country.

Contrary to ODM youth’s sentiments, Interior PS Karanja Kibicho had earlier warned that no mass actions shall be allowed after elections.
