A section of Jubilee legislatures have said that Raila’s decision to use People’s Assemblies to push for reforms will not deliver his desired results. The MPs also warned NASA against swearing in Raila Odinga terming it an unconstitutional move.

Tinderet MP Julius Melly said that People’s Assemblies have no future.

His sentiments were supported by Hillary Koskei (Kipkelion East), Nelson Koech (Belgut), Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), William Chepkut (Ainabkoi) and William Cheptumo (Baringo North) who stated senior counsel James Orengo should advice NASA about the plan to swear in Raila Odinga.

"Even the so call People's Assemblies will not see the light of the day. This time round after another defeat, they are talking about secession, and the so call People's Assemblies. All these will go nowhere," Melly said as reported by the Star.

Melly, a close ally to DP William Ruto, urged Kenyans not to be worried by the current politics being fronted by opposition. He states that this is a norm for opposition which he said used the same tactics in 2013 but failed.
