Nakuru County Deputy Governor Dr Erick Korir has called on residents to embrace each other despite coming from different political divide.

Addressing media in his office, the Deputy Governor said the country has gone through a lot during the election process and it is time to focus on development after the Supreme court upheld the victory of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

While noting that Nakuru is a cosmopolitan county, the DG said Jubilee supporters should celebrate in moderation.

“The politics of Nasa and Jubilee should now be put aside and let us focus on unity and development,” said Korir.

The DG also took the opportunity to thank the people of Nakuru for maintaining peace throughout the election process.

He reiterated the need for continued advocacy for peace among residents of Nakuru in all the 11 sub-counties.

“I want to thank the people of Nakuru for they have continued to show peace and it is my prayer that we shall maintain such as brothers,” he said.
