The Supreme Court has been called upon to reject calls, Raila Odinga, to have rejected votes indicated in the final tally.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has pleaded with the court to dismiss the calls and deal with the matter conclusively.

Through lawyer Fred Ngatia, Uhuru urged the court not to overturn the 2013 decision.

According to Ngatia, Odinga who is the ODM candidate failed to demonstrate why the court should depart from the 2013 case.

“Rejected votes cannot be taken into account in the final tally,” Mr Ngatia said.

“It is a point we argued in 2013, and nothing has changed to make us depart from it. There should be uniformity in the judgments of the court.”

The hearing of the petition entered its second day on Tuesday where Raila Odinga is seeking to have Uhuru’s win from the August poll nullified.
