NASA leader Raila Odinga has stated that Kenya will be in a mess if president Uhuru Kenyatta is sworn in. the opposition leader said that Kenyan voters will fail to turn up to in future elections if election rigging is institutionalized. He termed rigging as a bad example to future generations.

“We want to be the people who will do away with the election rigging on the African continent. We want to show that Africans deserve a better standard. Next time there will be complete voter apathy in this country and no Kenyan will turn up to vote at all,” Raila told Jazeera during the Sunday interview.

Raila said Kenya should not emulate states where only 10-20 percent of voters turn up to vote to make a presidential candidate to get 98 percent which is not a representation of the majority wish. Odinga also criticized the international community for lowering standards when dealing with elections in the African continent.

Odinga maintained that he is not out to get power by all means by his main concern is the restoration of electoral justice.
