The ongoing debates in various County Assemblies that are under NASA’s control would eventually set pace for secession, insists Ex- Kitutu Masaba MP Mwancha Okioma.

Although it’s anchored in the constitution, a section of Jubilee leaders have rubbished the formation of the assemblies claiming that it amounts to a waste of time.

But at Jacaranda on Sunday, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino said: “If he wants to impose himself on us, we will better divorce.”

Similar sentiments were made by Homabay MP Gladys Wanga who said: “We shall chat our way forward. We can’t live in a forced marriage.”

And Okioma says should the country fail to engage in dialogue, the assemblies would be used as a platform to launch a spirited self-determination campaign.

“What that means is that they will say they do not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta and the eventual calls will revolve around secession. Expect nothing less than that,” he said.

Last Week, Odinga spent most of his time in US explaning to the world about alleged election fraud in Kenya.

Already, Siaya and Homabay County Assemblies have passed the Bill which allows formation of People’s Assembly, claiming that they do not recognize Uhuru’s leadership.
