Opposition leader Raila Odinga will make his first stopover outside Nairobi in the larger Gusii region on Tuesday, ODM National Treasurer Timothy Bosire has said.

It will be the first major rally outside the capital which comes barely after nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory by the Supreme Court.

And by coincidence, Odinga will make the first stopover at Nyamira town, a few kilometers from CJ David Maraga’s home.

“We call upon all NASA supporters to show up in larger numbers at Nyamira in solidarity with our presidential candidate,” Bosire, who lost Kitutu Masaba parliamentary seat, said.

He added:”This will mark a major journey for tedious campaigns ahead of us in the next few months. We hope that they won’t rig again.”

After Nyamira public rally, NASA leaders will address a similar gathering in Keroka Township before ending their busy day in Gusii stadium.

The choice of the region is fundamental given worrying voting patterns that shows Odinga lost in Nyamira, a region perceived to be his stronghold.
