Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka was conspicuously missing from the National Super Alliance (NASA) rally in Uhuru Park. Speaking during the rally, Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga said that Kalonzo had traveled to Germany. He also said that Kalonzo is still part of the alliance.

"Kwanza naleta Salamu ya Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. Munapokea?Kalonzo ametuma salamu kutoka Ujerumani ako na sisi pamoja siku ya leo (First of all I want to bring greetings from Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. Do you receive? Kalonzo has sent greetings from Germany. He is with us today,” he said.

In the rally, Raila declared that the alliance has been transformed into a resistance movement. He said that he will not relent in the fight against poor governance.

“From today we are transforming NASA into a resistance movement, embark on a national campaign of defiance of illegitimate governmental authority and non-co-operation with all its organs and boycott the goods and services offered by the businesses for whose benefit dictatorship is being established,” Mr Odinga said, as quoted by The Star.

 Odinga dropped from the rerun citing plot to deny him victory during another election.
