There was shock in Molo on Wednesday after residents stumbled on a dead body buried in a shallow grave.

The body of the middle-aged woman was in a shamba at Peace area under a thin layer of soil.

It was not yet clear who the deceased was.

Leaders called for calm as investigations continue.

The body was taken to Molo sub-county hospital mortuary.
