Evan Njau, a Std 6 pupil, left his mother in stitches recently after he said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are liars.
"They lied they would give us laptops," Njau told his mother.
In 2013, when Uhuru Kenyatta and his buddy William Ruto campaigned for the presidency, Njau was a standard one pupil.
Uhuru and Ruto made a promise that if elected they would issue every standard one pupil with a laptop.
This promise made their candidature popular among children as they wished them success hoping to receive the gadgets if the duo won.
Six years after Uhuru and Ruto won the election, the project has never been rolled out to all standard one pupil as promised.
"Was it just a political rhetoric to woo voters? But it is not African to lie to children, they never forget," Esther Njau, Njau's mother said.
