Former Kisumu Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin Annah Nyokabi is the best suitable candidate for the Nairobi Deputy governor position.
According to Odinga, the former Kiambu WomanRepresentative deserves the post due to her proventrack record.
"She has been tried as a Woman Rep and tested. I believe she has what it takes to help governor Sonko drive his agenda," stated Odinga's sister.
Ruth Odinga's endorsement of Nyokabi comes just a week after Raila also endorsed her.
Speaking at his Capitol Hill office, Raila said that Nyokabi's record should is the reason why she should help Sonko following teh resignation of Polycarp Igathe.
"I have known Nyokabi for a long time and her record as an MP speaks for itself, especiallywhen it comes to promotion of gender equality, economic empowerment and wealthcreation,” Raila said.
Currently, Sonko is looking for a deputy to fill the vacant position left by Igathe who cited lack of trust from his boss.
