Police in Molo have arrested one suspect who is among four men who attacked and raped a form four candidate on Thursday morning.
Confirming the arrest, Molo OCPD Daniel Kamanza said the suspect is being held at Molo police station, and will be arraigned in court on Friday to face charges of raping assaulting the candidate.
"We have the names of the other three suspect and we promise the public that we will bring them to book," Said Kamanza while speaking on phone.
Elsewhere, police in Naivasha have arrested two men suspected to have tortured a 15-year-old boy on Wednesday and caused her death.
The boy had been circumcised and one of the four was supposed to take care of him during the circumcision period.
“I heard him scream from his house, and when I rushed out the four men ran away. We took him to Kijabe hospital on learning that he was tortured but he died receiving treatment,” said the boy’s mother Teresiah Nyambura.
Nyambura who hails from Mai Mahiu, said the family awaits a postmortem to be conducted so that they could establish the death of the boy who had just sat for his KCPE exams.
A senior police officer who spoke anonymously confirmed the two have been arrested.
“They will help us in investigations,” the officer said.
