President Uhuru Kenyatta has nominated three people to cabinet subject to vetting by parliament in coming weeks.

Although he has not exhausted the 22 slots provided by the constitution, Uhuru also retained six Cabinet Secretaries, a reason why the rest should worry.

Former Turkana Senator John Munyes will be in cabinet should his name be approved and will be joined by Ex-Marsabit Governor Ukur Yatani.

Also in the list will be outgoing Director of Public Prosecution Keriako Tobiko, whose resignation was announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Those retained are Fred Matiang'i (Education and Interior Coordination), Joe Mucheru (ICT), James Macharia (Transport), Henry Rotich (Treasury), Charles Keter (Energy) and Najib Balala (Tourism).

Also retained is Joseph Kinyua as Secretary to cabinet while Ex-Nakuru Governor Kinuthua Mbugua was appointed as Comptroller of State House.

He did not however reveal the departments the three shall take over should their names be accepted.
