Kenyans on Twitter took a swipe at President Uhuru Kenyatta for selective mourning. The Monday attacks were fueled by Uhuru’s failure to comment on police brutality against opposition supporters especially in Luo Nyanza.

However, the President was quick to condole with the family of the one person who died, Sunday, during a Jubilee campaign at Karatina after a building collapsed on him.

"Saddened by the death of one and injuries that occurred at Nyeri campaign rally. My sincere condolences and a quick recovery of those injured," Uhuru said.

The decision to mourn his supporter was taken as selective treatment by one who is supposed to be a symbol of national unity. KOT reminded President Uhuru what is happening in Luo Land. Three people were killed on Friday in Bondo, Siaya County under unclear circumstances.

The Star selected some of the tweets that reminded the President that he has to be a Head of State to all Kenyans.

"So the death in Nyeri matters more than those in other places. You are still encouraging tribalism. We are tired," @SlimToto1 retorted.

"Selective mourning at its worst. Police have shot and killed unarmed civilians last few days. U choose to keep silent & give a pat to the police [sic]," wrote '@danncyro'.

"So the ones killed in Kisumu are not Kenyans...The Nyeri one deserved more to live than they.. very unfortunate tweet [sic]," Maina Hesbon wrote.

"Your point of sidelining other communities is clear. You don't have to keep on reminding us...RIP," @burnnieburnner stated.

"You send condolences for Nyeri injuries and death but when Luos die you smile to your fullest!!! #NoReformsNoElections utajua haujui (you will know that you don't know)," added @sossy773.

"He is the president of Central Kenya republic...hat's why he doesn't care about deaths in other regions," @mwapojjo.
