Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati has been criticised after naming his ten-member Cabinet. The list comes after a long wait but Senator Wetangula’s ally has been criticized for sideling people living with disabilities and the youth.

Western human rights group executive director Job Bwonya promised to take legal action against the county to bar vetting of Wangamati’s nominees.

"You can clearly see that the governor failed to meet the basic principles of the Constitution. There is no doubt that we will head to court," Bwonya said.

Banker Brawel Murgor has been fronted to head the Land, Urban and Physical Planning docket while Sikusi secondary school Principal Richard Sabwami has been nominated to lead the Public Service and Administration section.

Youth and Gender CEC is Everlyn Kakai while a KRA official Collins Mukhongo has been proposed as the Roads and Infrastructure CEC. Renson Makheti is the named Environment and Water county boss while Esther Wamalwa will man Finance and Economic Planning.

A Kimilili parliamentary loser Mathews Makanda is the governor’s choice for Agriculture and Livestock CEC post while Kibabii University lecturer Betty Mayeku will take the Education and Vocational training slot. Antony Walela and the other nominees will wait the county assembly verdict before taking over the Health docket.

Wangamati said that he chose an inclusive ten-member cabinet from 300 applicants. He said that each sub county has a member in the CEC.
