Opposition leader Raila Odinga has now described President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto as ‘unworthy’ competitors who belong to jail.
In a fresh twist of events, a secret letter from IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati to CEO Ezra Chiloba raises questions with regard to authenticity of August 8 elections.
And in response to the letter, whose details were circulated in mainstream media, Odinga said the content vindicated the Supreme Court.
“It is now clear that what we presented is the court was pure truth. Uhuru and Ruto are unworthy competitors who even never won the elections.
“They are thieves who belongs to jail for subverting the will of people. They are not ready for fair competition and the IEBC has confirmed that,” he said in a press conference on Thursday.
In the latter, Chebukati demands to know from Chiloba why over 590 polling stations did not submit presidential results.
He also demands an explanation as to why results from over 10, 000 polling stations were transmitted via text instead of satellite phones that were procured by the commission.
