This comes barely two days after two pupils were allegedly chased by an unknown man who later vanished into the forest within that village.

According to Geoffrey Duke whose child went through a similar ordeal, it seems some men are residing within the said forest with an intention of committing crimes against minors.

"We are worried because perennial cases have been reported of a man who has been living in the forest and at some point locals have spotted him getting into the forest with a no clear intention," said Duke.

He said the situation has inflicted fear not only to school going children but also to the adults.

They are now appealing to the authorities to take necessary actions to flush out the alleged culprits who could be planning to commit crimes against minors and women.

Duncan Makori, a local resident, got furious after an uproar was raised and promised to rally locals to invade the forest and counter the said culprit.

"We are soon calling out all residents of Nyamage and Bobaracho to come out in large numbers so that we can flush out the culprits than waiting for the ever sluggish security officers,” he said.

Efforts to reach the local area chief were not fruitful as our calls went unanswered.
