The governor noted that the project will help dairy farmers to change their lives after many years of living in abject poverty. He said that he is committed to improving the region before the completion of his second and final term in office come 2022.

“I wish to thank @USAIDKenya for helping us install the Kathonzweni Milk Processing Plant, through the International Livestock and Research Institute(ILRI). The plant has a capacity to pasteurize 1000 litres of milk per hour,” he Tweeted on Saturday.

The governor has continued to win hearts of Kenyans following his re-election. A section of Citizens wants the county boss to contest for Presidency.

On his part, he has said that he will consider the idea. He believes he has what it takes to rise to the top of this nation if given the support from Kenyans with goodwill.
