The locals who were speaking at Marani market on Saturday evening claimed that the MP has underrepresented them since he won the August 8, 2017, general elections.

Paul Masinya said he was a campaigned for the MP but, since he was sworn into office, he has ignored people who were close to him.

"Jimmy has turned to be a self-centered leader who we can't access. We elected him but," he said.

Jeremiah Ogwora claimed that the MP's old age is the reason he doesn't prioritise development.

"The MP has grown old so he doesn't value development in the constituency. He recently vanished into the toilet at Parliament buildings during the special sitting on Fuel tax," he said.

Amos Machuki argued that constituents should not expect development from the lawmaker.

"Jimmy is only interested in earning a salary. Residents should not expect the MP to articulate issues affecting them," said Machuki.
