In a telephone conversation with this writer on April 23, Zacharia's father, Roble Mohammed, revealed that a good Samaritan had already contacted him and plans were underway to determine compatibility.

"We have one person who has contacted us from Nairobi and is willing to donate the organ for a transplant. I cannot say that were are already sorted because the doctors are yet to determine compatibility," Roble said in the telephone conversation.

However, the family is still calling for more assistance as their medical obligations are already above Sh5.5 million shillings.

"We are still calling upon all well-wishers to help us raise more funds to cater for the over Sh5.5 million medical bills," added Roble.

Just a week ago, Hivisasa first published a story highlighting the family's urgent medical appeals and the latest development is heartwarming.

At the moment, ailing Zacharia who is a high school student has to contend with weekly dialysis sessions at the Garissa County Referral Hospital pending the organ transplant.

Even as the call for assistance continues, personal donations can still be made through the pay bill number 394378.

Furthermore, direct inquiries can also be made through the father's phone number 0723653345.
