Harambee Stars Captain Victor Wanyama has made a final cut for Tottenham Hotspur Champions League final match.

Wanyama has been included in manager Mauricio Pochettino’s 26-man final squad that will face off with English rivals Liverpool in the final on Saturday, at Atletico de Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Madrid, Spain.  

The Spurs full squad comprises of Hugo Lloris, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez, Heung-Min Son, Harry Winks, Harry Kane, Erik Lamela, Victor Wanyama and Michel Vorm.

Other members of the squad are Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko, Fernando Llorente, Dele Alli, Juan Foyth, Paulo Gazzaniga, Christian Eriksen, Serge Aurier, Lucas Moura, Ben Davies, Alfie Whiteman, George Marsh and Oliver Skipp.

Wanyama’s side qualified for the final after beating Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam, while Liverpool defeated Spanish giants Barcelona to book a final spot.

In 2010, Wanyama’s elder brother Macdonald Mariga become the first Kenyan to win the Champions League when his former team, Italy’s Inter Milan defeated Germany’s Bayern Munich 2-0 in the final.

The match was played at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium. The Harambee Stars Captain was in the stands alongside other family members cheering Mariga on. Spurs will feature in a Champions League final for the first time ever.
