Deputy President William Ruto has been encouraged to push on until he clinches presidency in 2022.
According to a Jubilee MP from Gusii region, Ruto will make a good President after his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta retires in 2022.
Richard Tong'i, Nyaribari Chache MP reiterated that Ruto is energetic and without doubt he will clinch presidency.
"I am encouraging DP Ruto not to become tired seeking the top seat in this country. He is capable of leading this country to the highest level and I am sure he will offer his best leadership once elected in 2022," said the lawmaker.
The legislator maintained that the Gusii community will rally behind DP Ruto in 2022.
"As a community we are going to support Ruto to become the next president not because of his massive following but, because of his good development ideologies. Elected leaders from the large Gusii region should join DP's camp," said Tong'i.
He lauded DP Ruto for returning back to Gusii region saying he should make such trips regularly to be more close to the people.
Tong'i made the remarks when he accompanied Deputy President William Ruto to Nyabururu Catholic Church Parish on Saturday during a fund drive.
