Also referred to by her fans as 'Mukish', Nyambura was an established comedian who had featured in many Kikuyu shows and films.

She has been acting alongside veteran Kikuyu comedian Mzee Kihenjo in his 'Njung'wa ya Muthee Kihenjo' YouTube series and other productions.

The talented artist also featured prominently in the 'Centrocinema' movies aired by Inooro TV.

Nyambura died on Thursday while undergoing treatment at the Maragua District Hospital in Murang'a County.

According to Sammy Waweru, her colleague in the film industry, Mukinduri has been battling ill health after losing her husband early last year.

Waweru said she had been trying to fight for her dear life at the health facility for some time now before her condition worsened and she passed away on Thursday.

"In August she was in a tough situation in the hospital such that we could not reach her on phone neither was she able to recognise anyone. We loved her but God loved her more. Will miss her," said Waweru.

The demise of the young actress comes barely a month after another Kikuyu comedian Paul Maina popularly known as DJ Nakumatt died after a short illness.

Kianangi, another great Kikuyu comedian, has not been found since he went missing last year.
