The accident happened at Nyosia area along Keroka-Kisii road. 

Samuel Nyakenyenya, a witness said the deceased motorbike was destroyed beyond repair. 

"The rider was speeding and could not see the trailer which was being driven a slow speed. The deceased rammed into the trailer and died on spot," said Samuel.

The witness said riders should stop over speeding during this festive season. 

Kisii County commissioner Godfrey Kigochi warned riders against over speeding. 

"Riders must follow traffic rules to curb road accidents. Police manning roadblocks will be vigilant to arrest careless motorists," he said.

The county security boss said the deceased body was moved to Kisii Teaching and referral hospital morgue.

He reiterated that crackdown on motorists going against the newly introduced road rules famously known as Michuki rules will continue. 

"Rogue motorists will not know peace on our roads. Motorists failing to adhere to road rules are advised to keep off the roads," he added.   

The commissioner warned police officers against soliciting for bribes from motorists.
